Jabbarizadegan, the organization’s deputy for education, told Shahrnevesht that last year 10,000 drivers were trained and this year, a similar number will be trained in addition to 60,000 taxi drivers. So, 15,000 drivers will be taught professional ethics of driving in every season.
The official said training will continue at traffic parks of children to learn how to correctly use bicycles and know that bicycles are not playthings and can be used for safe transportation.
He stated that Tehran Municipality’s traffic department pays special attention to promoting bikes and a historical review will show that bikes have been both means of recreation and transportation since many years ago. Therefore, he added, 1,000 bike houses containing 100,000 bikes will be opened during the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2012).
