“Mo’amma” in Front of City Theater “Mo’amma” in Front of City Theater

A statue called Mo’amma (Persian word for “riddle”), which had been chosen as top work of international sculpture symposium of Tehran is back at City Theater. It is the work of the famous Italian artist, Loca Morovino, who built it in the symposium in 2006.

According to Shahr News Agency, the symposium was held by Tehran Municipality Cultural and Arts Organization in 2006 in which 22 works were admitted to the final and 11 were chosen to be installed at various parts of Tehran. The purchased works were first installed at Chitgar Park before being distributed in various parts of Tehran.

They are now at Iranian Art Museum, but Morovino’s work is back at the City Theater.

Its return follows recent repairs to the City Theater and is now on a stone pedestal. It is a statue with special pits which has been worked out by the famous Italian artist.
