Tehran Mayor Mohammad Ali Najafi has visited Shar-e Aftab International Exhibition Center at the south of the capital during his tour to District 20.
Tehran Mayor accompanied by some members of Tehran City Council visited top urban projects of southern Tehran specially Shahr-e Aftab which its construction has cost about 360,000,000 USD.
“The center has many potentials to host the international exhibitions, while many exhibition spaces of the center has not completed so far” The mayor said, adding that, “the project has been launched by private sector and Tehran Municipality collaboratively and will be completed in near future”.
“The International Trade Center of Shar-e Aftab will be inaugurated by the next year” he added.
The Exhibition Center has been completed by 60% and expected to finished by the next year, the Mayer pointed.
The primary plan of Shahr-e-Aftab International Exhibition as the greatest exhibition project of our country has been started with the area of 275 hectares next to the Khalij-e-Fars highway. This project has been approved by Tehran City Council and has been run by Tehran Municipality.
After the approval of plan and providing the financial, the construction implementation of this great complex has been started in 2011. Finally the first phase of this international complex has been operated at the same time with the 29th Tehran International Book Fair in 2016.
