Tehran Mayor Mohammad Ali Afshani on Sunday stressed the significance of spreading book reading culture among the youth and their families.
Afshani made the remarks while touring different sections of Tehran Book Garden in the Abbasabad Hills area in north-central Tehran.
He also conferred with several managers and officials of Tehran Book Garden.
Covering a total area of 65,000-square-meter indoor exhibition space, Tehran Book Garden is one of the largest of its kind, providing ample space and amenities to help promote book reading.
Tehran Book Garden is located on Haqqani Highway, adjacent to the National Library and Archives Organization of Iran (NLAI).
It is part of Abasabad Cultural Complex which also includes Nature Bridge, Flag Tower, Gonbad Mina (Enamel Dome) Planetarium, Art Garden, Sacred Defense Garden Museum and Flower Garden.
