According to Tehran SAMA, Deputy Director for Science and Technology of Tehran Research and Planning Center said the BLP program is held every two years.
Speaking on the sideline of a ceremony to award the Tehran Municipality projects, Mohammad Mojabi further stated that more than 4000 titles from 50 countries were admitted into the latest round of BLP competition. He said five plans from Tehran were honored as top ones.
He added that 16 plans from Iran had been recognized as top projects in the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2012). Among plans awarded by BLP he cited three: The website of Tehran Research and Planning Center offering information on urban management; Tehran Status of Environment report program; and Tehran Atlas.
Tehran SoE report was prepared by Tehran Research and Planning Center for the first time according to which the status of environment in Tehran is revised every year.
Tehran Atlas collects and offers detailed information on urban administration in Tehran including population makeup and employment.
Another top plan of Tehran Municipality is the Urban Crisis Management Plan presented by Crisis Management and Prevention Organization.
