The ceremony of honouring and introducing the new head of the Communication and International Affairs Center was held on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021, in the presence of the director-general of the Tehran mayor's office at the Communication and International Affairs Center.
In this ceremony, Abdul Motahar Mohammadkhani was introduced as the new head of the Communication and International Affairs Center of Tehran Municipality. In his first speech, he said: First of all, I would like to thank the esteemed mayor of Tehran for his trust in me. From one perspective, the most difficult responsibility in Tehran Municipality is being the head of the communication center, as it affects the level of success and failure of the main projects of the whole municipality.
Mohammadkhani explained: "Every small and big change in Tehran Municipality depends on our performance and the media attachment of the center, which means that the success rate of Tehran Municipality is directly related to the function of the communication center. "
He added: “Every corrective move can only be achieved by changing the behaviour of the target community, and this change in behaviour is not possible except by changing the mindset and correcting the image of individuals over the matter. "
He further described the mission of the communication center as being an around-the-clock and a permanent task and asked all the members to redouble their efforts to lead the communication center in line with the spirit of the new urban management system.
Abdul Motahar Mohammadkhani was the head of the Cultural Center of the Islamic Revolution for four years. He has also been a cultural expert of the Information Technology Cultural Center of the Cultural and Artistic Organization of Tehran Municipality for many years.
He also has been the editor of Fars News Agency, the manager of the newsroom, and the head of the media development center of this news agency.
Furthermore, he has a long experience and professional background in the field of media and communications as a member of the editorial board of Mehr News Agency, the Young Journalists Club. He has collaborated with the various press, publications and analytical news websites, as well as writing radio and television programs.
