At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Hamidreza Gholamzadeh, Deputy of International Affairs of Tehran Municipality, mentioned the scope of extensive cooperation in transferring knowledge and technology and investment to create infrastructure as priorities. He said: "Today, problems such as corona, climate change, and waste have become transboundary problems that other cities and countries except Tehran face, so given the problems that exist in the region, many neighboring countries still have not been able to have any activity in this field. Therefore, Tehran can be a model for these countries in terms of its social responsibility and global responsibility at a higher level.
Claudio Providas, Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Iran, pointed the potential and capacities of Tehran in this field and stressed the need to provide a platform to support projects and try to transfer the experiences of international companies to reduce waste as a result of increasing the quality of life of citizens.
