The Memorandum of Understanding between the Municipality of Tehran and Guangzhou Municipality (China) was signed in the presence of the Mayors of Tehran and Guangzhou virtually.
The MOU between the Municipality of Tehran and Guangzhou Municipality was signed on Thursday, March 17, in the presence of Alireza Zakani, Mayor of Tehran, and Guo Yonghang, Mayor of Guangzhou.
Strengthening and developing friendly relations between the citizens of the two cities, promoting cultural relations, tourism, financial, custom, and investment in projects of mutual interest in the fields of municipal services and waste management, urban infrastructure, transportation and traffic, urban planning, smart cities, clean energy and science and technology and exchange of technical and expert staff in relevant fields are among the provisions of this Memorandum of Understanding.
In the virtual meeting, Hamidreza Gholamzadeh, Deputy of International Affairs of the Municipality of Tehran, Hossein Darvishi, Iran's Consul General to China, Chang Hua, Chinese Ambassador to Tehran, Mohammad Amin Tavakolizadeh, Deputy of Social and Cultural Affairs, and Morteza Amiri Esfandeh, Special Assistant to the Mayor of Tehran in the field of Persian literature and poetry were present.
