Alireza Zakani has met with Ambassador Tamaki Tsukada in Tehran to strengthen ties between the capital and municipalities across Japan.
The discussions focused on expanding inter-city cooperation, with key priorities including crisis management, tackling air pollution, and advancing urban regeneration initiatives.
A special emphasis was placed on enhancing hospital infrastructure and safety standards as part of broader efforts to build a more resilient and sustainable city.
The Mayor also noted that, with priority being peace and sovereignty of Iran, Tehran is fully equipped for any potential war and has taken measures to secure essential resources for a period of three months.
